Dr. Mark Moore – Head, Manifold Vector Analysis
Dr. Moore received a B.A. degree in Science and Philosophy from Florida Atlantic University in 1966. He received a Ph.D. in Philosophy with an emphasis on Value Theory and Logic from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1973. Dr. Moore was an NDEA Fellow. From 1973 to 1979, Dr. Moore was a tenured Professor of Philosophy at Salisbury State University in Maryland. From 1979 to May 1984, Dr. Moore managed Moore & Associates, a research and consulting firm dedicated to development of specialized logic structures for value decisions in financial markets. Included among Moore & Associates' activities was the management of an options fund with Alex, Brown & Sons Inc. In May 1984, Dr. Moore joined Atlantic Associates, Inc. in Greenwich, CT. as a Vice President and Director of Research. In 1987, Dr. Moore co-founded Codeworks Corporation in Washington, DC. Codeworks was a venture capital startup that developed a computerized search process of all national and local building codes. Dr. Moore was responsible for the creation of the data base and search logic. Codeworks was sold in 1988. In 1988, Dr. Moore co-founded Trendlogic Associates, Inc., a registered Commodity Trading Advisor. Trendlogic Associates, Inc. is located in Greenwich, CT. Dr. Moore sold Trendlogic Associates in June 1991, and joined Millennium Partners, LP; an investment Limited Liability Company, as General Partner. Millennium Partners is a large international hedge fund with offices in lower Manhattan.
Dr. Hong Zhang – Research Scientist
Hong Zhang, Ph.D. received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Fudan University in 1982. He received an M.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984, and a M.A and Ph.D. From the University of Pittsburgh in 1985 and 1989 respectively. During his studies at the University of Pittsburg, Dr. Zhang was awarded the prestigious Andrew Mellon Fellowship in both 1985 and 1986. From 1989 to present, Dr. Zhang has held associate and tenured professorships at Purdue University and Armstrong Atlantic University in Mathematics and Computer Science. In addition to these positions, Dr. Zhang has been, and is currently involved as, advisor and scientist to Health Discovery Corporation (present), research scientist with BIOwulf Technologies, and vice-president and Chief Information Officer of Horus Therapeutics. Dr. Zhang has published over 30 papers on SVM Technology, bio-marker research, physiological mapping, neural networks, Markov processes and other scholarly papers dealing with computer science and biological algorithms. Dr. Zhang serves as Chief Scientist to SVM Capital and has assisted Dr. Moore in the development of the computer modeling utilizing SVM technology in the programs’ trading.

Dr. Jeremy Evnine – Research Team Co-Leader
Dr. Jeremy Evnine is a Research Team Co-Leader at Manifold Partners. He founded Evnine & Associates in 1991, a quantitative asset management company. Previously, he was a founding partner at Iris Financial Engineering & Systems. From 1984 to 1990, he was a Senior Vice President in charge of research at Barclays Global Investors. Prior to BGI, Dr. Evnine was a Consultant at BARRA, where he developed the firm's option products. He has taught courses in Finance at UC Berkeley, is widely published, and has lectured worldwide. Dr. Evnine holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Manchester University in England, an M.Sc. in Pure Mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Finance from the UC Berkeley.
